Last updated: May 12, 2026.

VodiCast ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes the personal information we collect when you visit https://vodicast.com or subscribe to the VodiCast service, why we collect it, how we store it and what rights you have under Canadian privacy law — including the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Quebec's Law 25.

1. Information we collect

1.1 Information you give us

  • Identity data: full name, email address, phone number.
  • Order data: subscription plan, payment method choice, device type, delivery preferences.
  • Communication data: messages and attachments you send to our WhatsApp or email support.

1.2 Information collected automatically

  • Technical data: IP address, browser type and version, time zone, operating system and device type.
  • Usage data: pages viewed, navigation paths, time spent on each page.
  • IBO Player technical data: MAC address and device key — required to provision your streaming line.

1.3 Information from third parties

We may receive verification and fraud-prevention data from our payment processor and from analytics providers when these services are necessary to operate VodiCast.

2. Why we collect this information

  • To activate, deliver and support your VodiCast subscription.
  • To process payments and prevent payment fraud.
  • To respond to your WhatsApp and email support requests.
  • To improve our website, channel offering and infrastructure.
  • To meet legal and regulatory obligations in Canada and Quebec.

3. Legal basis

We process your personal information on the basis of your consent (when you submit forms or activate a subscription), contractual necessity (to deliver the VodiCast service you paid for), legitimate interest (to operate and secure our business) and legal obligation (where required by Canadian law).

4. Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

  • Our payment processor (to charge your card or process Interac e-Transfer).
  • Our cloud and email infrastructure providers (to operate the website and send transactional emails).
  • Government authorities or courts, only when legally required.

All third parties are bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations equivalent to those described in this Policy.

5. International transfers

Some of our service providers may store data outside Canada (typically in the United States and Europe). When this occurs we rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards to protect your information.

6. Retention

We retain your personal information for the duration of your VodiCast subscription plus seven (7) years thereafter, which is the standard retention period for accounting documents in Canada. Support conversations are retained for three (3) years.

7. Your rights

Under Canadian and Quebec privacy law you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate personal information.
  • Request deletion of your personal information, subject to retention obligations.
  • Withdraw consent for non-essential processing.
  • Lodge a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or, for Quebec residents, the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.

8. Cookies and analytics

We use first-party cookies and a privacy-respecting analytics tool to measure traffic and improve the website. No advertising trackers or cross-site profiling cookies are deployed. You can disable cookies in your browser at any time without losing access to your subscription.

9. Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including TLS encryption in transit, encrypted backups, role-based access controls and least-privilege administration. No system is 100% secure; if a breach occurs we will notify affected customers and Canadian authorities as required by law.

10. Children

VodiCast is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we discover that we have collected such information we will delete it promptly.

11. Contact

To exercise any of the rights above or to ask a privacy question, contact our Privacy Officer at [email protected] or by mail at VodiCast, 2150 Rue Sainte-Catherine Ouest, Montreal, QC H3H 1M7, Canada.
